Daddy-Daughter Dance

Daddy-Daughter Dance
January 30, 2010
Location: In our livingroom!
So, even though it was too snowy/icy outside to go to the REAL dance, we threw a party in our own house. We didn't have fancy decorations or a cool sound system, but we had each other and a good attitude. I was the DJ, serving up tunes I had luckily already downloaded to my computer long ago. I had to write this blog so I could share my awesomeness with you all. Here was the night's playlist and a few pictures:

1. SHOUT (The Beatles)

2. HEAD AND SHOULDERS

3. YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL (Joe Cocker)

4. IF TOMORROW NEVER COMES (Garth Brooks)

5. SNUGGLE PUPPY (Philadelphia Chickens)

6. PURPLE PEOPLE EATER

7. BLUE EYES (Elton John)

8. YOU RAISE ME UP (Selah)

9. TWIST AND SHOUT (The Beatles)

10. GRAND OLE DUKE OF YORK

11. RING AROUND THE ROSES

12. A BOY AND A GIRL IN A LITTLE CANOE

13. BUTTERFLY KISSES (Bob Carlisle)
14. KEEPER OF THE STARS (George Strait)

15. I WANNA HOLD YOUR HAND (The Beatles)

16. I'M A BELIEVER (From Shrek)

17. I LIKE IT, I LOVE IT (Tim McGraw)

18. PART OF YOUR WORLD (From The Little Mermaid)

19. IT WON'T BE LIKE THIS FOR LONG (Darius Rucker)

20. LADY IN RED (?)

We had a lot of fun and I got to dance a little bit too. So glad to spend time with family making memories.

Vacation day 2

Day 2:
We took the kids to Butterfly Palace ans they LOVED it. If you ever go to Branson, you should go, even if you don't have little kids. It's very beautiful, and peaceful. I'd go there on a date if it wasn't so far away. :)

After Butterfly Palace, we went back to our condo to eat lunch. Then Jeremy and I went horseback riding. I don't have any pictures of it because I was secretly a little scared. The trail guide told Jeremy to make sure he kept his horse back far from mine, because his horse his will bite! Yikes!

After dinner, Jeremy and I went to the Titanic Museum. I've been wanting to go since I first saw it three years ago. Jeremy finally took me and I loved it. I read every caption, looked at every artifact, and listened to every sound clip on our audio-guided-tour-thingies. When we entered, we were given a boarding pass with the name and brief info of a real passenger on the Titanic, whether it be crew, 1st class, 2nd class, or 3rd class. Jeremy was crew: a 61 year-old surgeon who had worked other ships and had to be talked into taking the job on the Titanic. I was 2nd class: a 19 year-old who was returning to New York with her party of eleven people. At the end of the
museum, you find out if you survived or perished. Jeremy perished, I survived. Not
only did I survive, but I help save the lives of 20 men. Cool. Anyway, we went in at 6:30. When we came out, it was 9:15!!! I was in there for almost three hours!! But I loved every second of it. And Jeremy never rushed me. He was very sweet. (Thanks, Honey.)

Vacation day 1

On the first day of vacation, we drove 7 hours to Kansas City to see the Royals (boo) play the Rangers (Yea!). Upon arrival, we checked in to our hotel, changed our clothes, and walked across the street to Kauffman Stadium. ~~> We had nachos and a yummy steak sandwich and a drink. The Mt. Dew alone cost $4.75! It was a 20 oz!

We had really good seats, very close to home plate. Unfortunately, we were surrounded by Kansas City fans. The Rangers were first at bat. This is Ian Kinsler. He is my favorite.

This is Hank "Hammer" Blalock. I'm one of Hanks' Homies even though I didn't have a sign. :) After 4 innings, the Rangers were up 3 to 0. But in the 5th inning, Billy Butler for the Royals hit grand-slam and the Royals ended up winning 5 to 3. :(

We walked back to our hotel a little bummed, but we had a good view. ~~~~> Overall, we had a WONDERFUL day. It just would have been a little better if they Rangers had won the game.
