Survey for kids

I was going to save this for Mother's Day, but Sabrina insisted I do it now. I found this in Facebook. You were supposed to ask your child(ren) the questions and write down their exact answer. I will tell you that I asked Carlie while Bailey was at school and then asked Bailey while Carlie ate her snack. They were not prompted in any way; this is all them:
1. What is something Mommy always says to you?
>Carlie: Don't get into trouble.
>Bailey: Go clean, Bailey.
2. What makes Mommy happy?
>C: When I do something to make you happy.
>B: When we do the right thing.
3. What makes Mommy sad?
>C: When I get a spanking.
>B: When we don't clean up.
>>>I'm noticing a trend...
4. How does your mom make you laugh?
>C: When you play Barbie's and babies.
>B: When you catch the silly bug.
5. What was your mom like as a child?
>C: a Barbie
>B: I don't know.
6. How old is your mom?
>C: 16
>B: 16
>>>I promise they had no idea what the other one said. It is pure coincidence.
7. How tall is your mom?
>C: This big! (one hand by her belly button and the other at her eye level.)
>B: Taller than us.
8. What is her favorite thing to do?
>C: Play Barbie's
>B: play with us
9. What does your mom do when you are not around?
>C: Talk on the phone.
>B: work out.
10. What is your mom really good at?
>C: Playing Barbies
>B: Giving us hugs and stuff. I like your hugs.
11. What is your mom not very good at?
>C: Uh, babies?
>B: You're good at everything!
>>>I like Bailey's answer!
12. What does your mom do for her job?
>C: Cleaning
>B: You screen the babies.
>>>(I do hearing screens on newborns)
13. What is your mom's favorite food?
>C: Broccoli
>B: Chocolate
14. What food will Mommy not eat?
>C: Green beans
>B: Green beans
>>>Oh, how well they know me.
15. What makes you proud of your mommy?
>C: I don't know.
>B: For always keeping the house clean when I come back from school.
16. What do you and your mom do together?
>C: Play Barbie's
>B: Play Barbie's
17. How do you know your mom loves you?
>C: She plays with me.
>B: Because you always hug me and say, "I love you, Bailey." And you kiss me when I go to bed. And I love you, too.

Rearranging

We finally got rid of that huge toy box this morning. Now I am spending the rest of the day rearranging furniture in the old play room and will finish the new one hopefully tomorrow. When I started this project, my goal was to have it finished by the end of February. Now it is the end of April and I'm still not done. Maybe someday...

Landrun at Bailey's school

Today, Bailey's class had a landrun day. The 4th/5th graders "helped" by taking small groups to different centers. The centers were stick-horse races, sack races, egg races (where you carry it in a spoon), and a cow chip throwing contest. It was explained that no one there had cows, so it wasn't really cow poop. But Mrs. So&So has horses so they get to use horse poop! Yea! (I'm NOT even kidding!) Anyway, I planned on taking pictures, but the school's policies on confidentiality prevent me from putting pictures on the computer without consent from each and every parent. So I will put up this one of just Bailey and Carlie eating their snowcones:

Our day at "The Brick"

We took the kids to Bricktown today and overall, I'd guess that we had a good time. The kids really could care less about the ball game and since they doubled their price on tickets, it was more than a bummer. We fed the ducks first and then went to the game. Here are some pictures to enjoy from the day. (Find more on my MySpace page.)

Mmmmmm. Game food!
Oh, how they LOVED the cotton candy! ^

Getting started

This is a confirmation blog for all of you who received my email about our new blog spot. Tomorrow we are planning a trip to Bricktown to catch a Redhawks game, ride the boats, feed the ducks, and whatever else we can find to do as long as it doesn't rain. Watch for pictures and new blog coming soon!
